The All Blacks are playing the Wallabies in Sydney tomorrow with the kick-off at 5.45pm NZT.

Playing a day game should offer up some flowing rugby with the temperature being comfortable for both teams in the low 20’s.

The Wallabies have brought back some experience which they hope will bolster their defence after being humiliated in Argentina. The game ran away from them as their defence turned into pavlova at the end of the second half.

I expect a better showing over the 80 minutes from them this week, and most people will want to see a bit more of a contest throughout the game. The ABs have struggled to score points in the last 20 mins this season which feels like it will change this week.

I still expect the AB’s to win, and feel they can do so by 30.

The two teams with a chance of winning this year’s Rugby Championship will be fighting out the first fixture in Argentina, with the return leg played in South Africa.

South Africa are sitting on 18 points and Argentina are on 10.

Argentina will need to win both games with a bonus point to have a chance of winning the Championship. While this is technically possible, it would be a huge shock if they managed to pull this off.

South Africa should be too strong as the current world champions to lose the Championship from here. They have made 10 changes to their team travelling to Argentina which will not be fatal to their championship chances. They can include their rested players on the return leg with the home crowd behind them with the expectation of lifting the trophy.

The NRL finals series is continuing this week with the 4th placed Sharks taking on the 5th placed Cowboys in Sydney on Friday night. The Sharks lost to the Storm last week so will be thankful of the second chance to stay in the finals. The Cowboys beat the Knights last week so will be a bit more confident coming into this game off a win.

I expect the Sharks will edge the win in this game.

The second game this weekend on Saturday is the 3rd placed Roosters against the 7th placed Sea Eagles. The Roosters were well done last week against the Panthers while the Sea Eagles edged the Bulldogs.

I expect a fairly comfortable win this week for the Roosters.

The White ferns are currently playing Aus in a T20 series with the Aussies taking the first game by 5 wickets last night. The White Ferns have now lost 8 in a row in this format.

The Aussies are the current number 1 ranked team in this format and surprisingly NZ is ranked number 4. It will continue to be a tough ask to win over in Aus so I feel the series will be 3-0.

F1 is racing in Singapore this weekend and there is speculation on Liam Lawson taking over Daniel Ricciardo’s seat in the RB car. With practice starting tonight, the anticipation of the announcement on who will be driving next year is mounting.

Both drivers will already know where they stand, as last year Lawson mentioned going into his last race he was already told of his contract situation. He was not allowed to answer the media’s questions on his contract situation as it was not to be made public at that time.

It is widely known that Lawson’s contract had a September deadline for being signed to the 2025 seat, or he could look elsewhere for a drive.

Media headlines mention Ricciardo talking about his next move after F1. We feel these headlines are being mentioned point to him being out of the RB team next year.

The question to be asked is how soon will it be before Ricciardo loses his seat and Liam Lawson takes over?
